Sterling Fooshee now serves as Chief Operating Officer at Cedar Recovery. With a background in marketing and a strong track record of operational leadership, he has played a key role in strengthening brand visibility and patient engagement through patient-centered digital strategy. As Cedar’s first Director of Operational Innovation and Strategy, Sterling identified opportunities for improvement and led initiatives that enhanced efficiency and productivity across the organization. After serving as Vice President of Operations, he stepped into the COO role, where he now oversees all operational functions, driving alignment, accountability, and streamlined processes across the company.

Sterling Fooshee has served as Chief Operating Officer of Cedar Recovery since February 2026. He brings a unique blend of marketing expertise and operational leadership, with a proven track record of building scalable systems that support high-quality, evidence-based addiction treatment.

Sterling earned his undergraduate degree in Marketing from East Tennessee State University (ETSU) and later completed a graduate degree in Digital Marketing, equipping him with a strong foundation in strategy, analytics, and emerging technologies. His early career focus on digital growth and brand strategy laid the groundwork for his broader leadership within the organization.

He joined Cedar Recovery in 2019 as Marketing Director, where he implemented a patient-centered digital marketing strategy that significantly expanded brand visibility, improved community engagement, and increased access to care across the regions Cedar serves.

In 2021, Sterling became Cedar’s first Director of Operational Innovation and Strategy, leading cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency, strengthen workflows, and enhance organizational effectiveness. His work centered on data-driven decision-making, operational accountability, and aligning systems to support best-in-class, evidence-based treatment delivery.

Sterling was promoted to Director of Operations in 2022 and Vice President of Operations in 2024, taking on oversight of multi-site operations and scaling infrastructure to support the company’s rapid growth across Tennessee and Virginia.

As Chief Operating Officer, Sterling now oversees all operational functions across the organization, including strategic planning, systems optimization, performance management, and cross-department alignment. He is responsible for ensuring that Cedar Recovery’s operational framework supports sustainable growth, clinical excellence, and its mission to provide addiction treatment that works.
