Kate Reed joined Cedar Recovery as the Corporate Controller in November 2020, and was promoted to Vice President of Accounting and Finance in 2024. She is an accomplished Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 15 years of experience in the field of accounting and financial management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in Accounting from Belmont University.

Kate is a proud resident of Nashville, Tennessee, where she and her family have built their home and community. She is happily married and a devoted mother, finding a balance between her successful career and her family life. Kate’s passion for working in addiction treatment stems from a deeply personal connection. Growing up, she witnessed the struggles of a beloved grandparent who battled alcoholism. This personal experience has fueled her dedication to make a positive impact on individuals and families facing similar challenges.

As a CPA, Kate has demonstrated a high level of expertise and professionalism in the accounting and financial management realm. Her extensive knowledge of accounting principles, mergers and acquisitions, and financial reporting standards has been an invaluable asset in her various roles throughout her career.

Prior to her role at Cedar Recovery, Kate gained valuable experience working at HearingPlanet, where she spent seven years in various accounting and financial management positions. During her tenure at HearingPlanet, she honed her skills and developed a strong foundation in financial analysis and business operations. It was during her time there that Kate first had the opportunity to work alongside Chad Dillard, Cedar Recovery’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and while their careers led them in different directions for a time, they maintained a strong working relationship.

After her tenure at HearingPlanet, Kate embarked on her journey with QualDerm Partners, LLC, where she served as the Controller for four years. Her contributions to the company’s financial success and her commitment to providing top-notch Practice Management services for dermatologists earned her a reputation as a skilled and reliable financial professional.

Kate’s career path led her to Cedar Recovery, where she joined as the Corporate Controller. At Cedar Recovery, she once again works alongside Chad Dillard. As the CFO, Chad brings extensive financial expertise and strategic leadership to Cedar Recovery, contributing to the organization’s financial stability and growth. Their collaborative partnership provides Cedar Recovery with an exceptionally solid financial foundation.
