About Cedar Recovery

Our opioid misuse treatment approach is centered on employing proven methods to help people overcome addiction. We integrate medication-assisted treatment, utilizing medications such as suboxone, and therapy to ensure everyone receives the care they require. Cedar Recovery's primary objective is to combat the opioid crisis and assist individuals in improving their well-being so they can lead healthier and happier lives.

Suboxone Treatment Explained

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is a comprehensive strategy for conquering opioid use disorder, merging medications like Suboxone (buprenorphine) with behavioral therapies. MAT acknowledges that addiction alters the brain's biochemistry, making it challenging to quit opioids abruptly. It is grounded in evidence and provides a more feasible path to recovery than attempting to quit suddenly. Suboxone blocks opioid receptors in the brain, diminishing cravings and preventing a "high" from opioids, aiding in the management of withdrawal symptoms. MAT combines medication with therapy, addressing past trauma, and enhancing treatment effectiveness, making it a valuable approach for sustainable recovery.
