Meet Mai Ferrell, LCSW, LADAC II, CCTP:

Mai Ferrell arrives with a wealth of experience and insight in the realm of addiction treatment and mental health. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UTC and an MSSW from the University of Tennessee, College of Social Work. She is currently working to earn her MBA and is scheduled to complete that program by December 2023.  Her previous experience includes implementing the IOP and PHP program at Trustpoint Hospital where she served for almost 10 years.

The Impact of Mai:

Throughout her career, Mai has passionately worked with individuals of all age groups, providing compassionate care for those dealing with mental illness and substance use disorders. As of June 1, 2023, she has taken on the role of Clinical Director at Cedar Recovery. Drawing from her diverse experiences, Mai excels in educating therapists on effective strategies for supporting individuals with co-occurring disorders.

  • Clinical Proficiency: With her profound understanding of evidence-based practices and clinical methodologies, Mai is poised to elevate the quality of care we offer to our patients.
  • Clinical Approach: Mai believes that we are all survivors of trauma. Hence, she approaches each interaction in that manner. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and uses this skillset to educate and arm people with language to describe their feelings/experiences.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Mai understands the importance of merging her clinical ethics with business ethics. Hence, she is currently working on her MBA in Healthcare Administration. Having that insight will allow her to collaborate with other leaders, ultimately improving patient care.
