Cedar Recovery is excited to announce a new app exclusively for our patients!

In collaboration with CaredFor, we have developed a smartphone app that allows patients to engage with a supportive community, chat with our staff, and join telemedicine appointments – all from the convenience of their phone.

In addition to other engaging features, this platform offers patients contingency management, a way to earn digital rewards for recovery milestones. Contingency management is a proven method to improve treatment outcomes,[1] [2]increase engagement,[3]and treat other substance use disorders, such as stimulant use.[4]

Along with better outcomes, this app is aimed at providing better data on our patient population. The app will enable us to implement the TEA (Treatment Effectiveness Assessment), PHQ-9,GAD-7, and other assessments to collect valuable longitudinal data on our patients. This will help us better measure the effectiveness of our interventions and allow us to implement an innovative model of measurement-based care.

“The opposite of addiction is not abstinence; it is community and relationship. Many of our patients do not have friends or family to support their recovery, so this connection with a supportive community is an incredible benefit. While an app is no replacement for real-world connection, it is a wonderful tool that most treatment programs do not offer.” - Dr. Stephen Loyd, Chief Medical Officer of Cedar Recovery.

Accessibility is woven into who we are at Cedar Recovery. From the Our goal is to “meet people where they are” and this app will not only improve that engagement, but will help drive outcomes data for Cedar that will benefit patient care and payer relationships.

“We are excited for the opportunity to connect with patients in a new and more engaging way. When people feel connected, the likelihood they stay engaged in treatment goes up exponentially, helping them reach long-term recovery. At Cedar Recovery, we provide Addiction TreatmentThat Works®.This app is another innovative way we can provide evidence-based care to our patients.” - Joe Bond, CEO of Cedar Recovery.

This app was developed by CaredFor, a company based inBrentwood, TN.

"We're excited to partner with Cedar Recovery in delivering solutions that support individuals impacted by mental health and substance use,” said Ben Wilkins, Director of Product for CaredFor. “By building a digital community that provides peer support, inspirational content, and powerful clinical resources, Cedar Recovery will be able to increase engagement and improve outcomes.”

This app is anonymized, HIPAA compliant, and available only to verified Cedar Recovery patients. For patients looking to download the app, please call your nearest Cedar Recovery location.
